Guide: Modern Warfare 2 Level 70 100% Unlocked

I’ve seen plenty of websites offering the level 70 100% unlock trick.
However, I’ve found its more trouble than its worth.
Simply put, its OBVIOUS to people you didnt work hard to get to level 70, ten times over.
Imagine how long it would take to get to level 70, even playing all day, then imagine doing that 10 times over.

So I made this file for you all, its a level 70 with 100% unlock with one prestige.
Everything is unlocked, all tags and badges, all weapons and their attachments.
However, some challenges are not, I found this was nice to actually have something to achieve. These locked challenges will not give you any extras since you have them all already.

In short, I basically made this because I didn’t want be too suspicious playing the game. Worked so far

How to:
Important notes:
If you have already used a previous level 70 with 10 prestige, skip to the end of his tutorial.
Also, this will replace all your weapon load-outs. So if you have a class for stealth or sniping, this will erase all that and replace it with mine. You can change this of course, but just be aware. If you have it just how you like it, make a note beforehand.

Step 1:

If your below level 70 then its easy. First you download all the files from my pack here:

Extract the folder to your desktop.
Inside you will find a folder, EAM. Inside there will be a few files, most important of which is playerstats.txt. I made another copy inside the folder just in case EAM deletes it when you start it.
Run EAM.exe
It will ask you where you want its config to be stored, accepting the default is always best.

Step 2:

Run Modern Warfare 2 and when you have loaded it to the point you can see your rank etc, alt-tab back to desktop.

Step 3:

In EAM click Import stats. After a few seconds you should see a confirmation that it worked.
To test it, just alt-tab back to the game you should see your rank change to level 70. Quit the game.

Step 4:
Close EAM, you will get a few dialog boxes, choices are yours but I don’t want this to start with the game.

Step 5: Now the test, this shouldnt be a problem if your upgrading, but its best to check. Close steam. Then load the game up again. Change some settings, like your weapon loadout, your tags etc. Once you have, quit out to desktop. Load it up one more time and see if the changes you made stuck.

Already a level 70?

“downgrading” is a problem. It took myself a few hours of googling and patience to finally get my problem solved. I rushed in with the full level 70 100% complete, 10 prestige. So downgrading was a ~censored~.

Heres the problem. When you downgrade using the above method, it looks fine. But when you quit and reload the game, you will find it will remember your old rank. Its almost stuck at the max level.

If this is you, follow these steps to get it sorted. Although be aware, its also down to trial and error and in some cases luck. This isnt a 100% fix, but it worked for me.

#1: Run MW2. Once you see your rank, alt-tab out and run EAM.
Click reset stats. After a short wait you should see a confirmation.
alt-tab back into the game and you should be at rank 1.

#2: Close MW2 and steam client.
Navigate to:

(Hard Drive):\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

Delete every .stat file you see. Then navigate to:

(Hard Drive):\Steam\userdata\some random number\another random number\

Then delete the remotecache.vdf file and the remote directory.

#3: Run the game again and hopefully, HOPEFULLY you should be at rank 1.
If so, play a online deathmatch. doesn’t matter what one. Just so you can level up a few times. Once is enough but I get to rank 4 before I quit the game.

#4 Once you have leveled up, quit the game normally (without loosing your match bonus) and quit steam.

#5 Once again load up the game and hopefully you should be at your new rank. If so you can use the procedure above to get to level 70.

If once you leveled up and reloaded the game you found you were back to level 70, keep trying steps 1 to 4. However after you level up and quit the game, delete the above mentioned files again (but don’t reset stats).

This is the only advice I can give as it really is trial and error. But ignore anyone who says reinstall. I didnt have to and I fixed my problem.

What if I don’t want level 70?

Not a problem. In the pack I also included a nice utility to pretty much create you own level.
Heres how to get it to work.

Inside my pack is a folder called PSE0002, inside that, run the file PSE.exe.
Inside the PSE0002 folder is a playerstats folder. This has a list of various playerstats files you might like.
In PSE just open any of those files to see what they contain.
For example, opening up the level 1 1 prestige.txt.
As you can see you can change almost any aspect of the file.

This stats file is a good start, you a level 1, with 1 prestige, but with hardly any of the unlocks. If you do want everything unlocked, click on the various tabs and click complete. This will give you all unlocks for the weapons.
In theory, I think you can do this with a level one too. But that might look suspicious to other people .

If you want to be at a specific level, use the below chart to find the right ammount of XP you need.

Apologies for the poor quality.

Then just enter it in the experience box in PSE.
Be aware though, clicking save will override the level 1 1 prestige.txt or whatever txt file you chose. Also to get it to work in the game you need the follow the top tutorial using EAM.
You must make sure that if you have overridden the txt file using PSE, you must copy that file to the EAM folder and rename it to playerstats.txt. Otherwise it wont import it into the game.

By the by, people have asked can this get you banned.
Based on how slow Infinity Ward is when it comes to catching aimbots and wallhacks, I highly doubt it. Afterall, Valve is looking for hackers.
However as with all things like this, you take your chances. I’ve had no problems.
